TDS deducted from all sources are reflected in form 26AS

dear vijay

the form 26AS is the facility given by NSDL to view tax credit it is not an document or we can used it as a proof

the major proof of the TDS deducted is form 16, thast you have,

if by some defect or uploading problem we can't say that we can not take credit of its bcoz we r not seeing this amount in 26AS.

26AS is only a facility

then what are  the reasons that same are not reflecting.  i think i hav read somewhere in the law that in case of govt it is not reflected i m not sure . it can not  case of wrong pan no because some other cases of state govt employee alsothe same is not reflected.

no praddep and sudhir ji you are not right as per the income tax department officials only refund is made or tax credit is made when it apperars only and only in 26AS if it appears in form 16 or 16A it does not matter for department they will not consider it, because i am having 10cases of Refund in which this situation is arising, but now a days IT department planning to addopt for 16 & 16 A as a proof of tax deducted not 26AS..............

Hi, I need advice as my form 26AS numbers are hugely different from my form 16 numbers for the past 6 years or so (>50,000 or so). I got the NSDL login ID just now and found this out.

What do you all suggest I do? Will I have trouble if I do not correct this? And how do I correct this as I did not submit those numbers?

And moreover any insights into why so many people have these numbers wrong would be greatly helpful.
