Which ITR form would we fill if there is only income from other sources (like interest on securities and interest on NSC bonds) and explain me the reasons
I assume that the assessee is an individual and the AY is 2007-08.
ITR 2 should be used. Reasons are -
a) ITR 1 is for individual with Salary + Other Sources
b) ITR 3 is for individuals who are partners
c) ITR 4 is for individuals with proprietary business/profession
d) It is only the ITR 2 which is for 'any source other than business/profession.'
