Dear experts,

please throw some light on following.

(1) WHY SINGLE NAME COMPANY IS NOT ALLOWED "EG: HANUMAN PRIVATE LIMITED". which regulations are violated by this. However the same is not allowed as i have never heard any company name with single name and pvt ltd. there is always either object or someother name attached to it eg: mittal media pvt ltd or konark india pvt ltd.. but regulation (viz name availibility guideline 2011 or others applicable) do not speak about this at all. why so ?

(2)kindly take me to the regulations, rule or section which speak about this.

also pls find the attached guidlelines copy for your research.

If you check out that single name Company may deceive or mislead the public and for some other reason as per Sec. 20,, and more or less, i remember FORM 1A require to fill atleat 5 desired names of proposed company which is related with Company.......

I think the big reason behind not to allow single name comapny is that it might mislead the Public,,
Like above Ex.. HANUMAN,
And Like IOCL, if the single name given to IOCL that become Indian Ltd. and that might mislead,,

This is my purely my personal view.

The name should somehow indicate the activity of the Company.

Hanuman limited does not in any way give idea of Company activity and there shall be many companies starting with the same, which is likely to mislead the stakeholders.
