Form 16 is need to give for whom we have made tds & other wise it is not a mandatory but u can issue form 16 by only stating his earning in your company for the period

if u made any tds it is compulsory to issue Form 16

for FY 2010-11

1st case willnot come under tax slab so no tds [upto 160000 excempt]

2nd case will come under tax slab & u need to do tds & for that  u have to issue form 16

Form 24Q is a return for salary tds you have file this return quarterly with giving a break of employees tds from salary & their pan

Form 27Q is a return for tds made from Non-residence other than salary this also need to file quarterly with giving tds information & Pan

you can check below link for more detials

for the last financial year 2009-10

we did not file the e-tds returns has there are no such empoyees on whom tax has to be deducted

but as of now they are asking for form 16 for loan purpose

how to issue this form without acknowledment no's

please clarify

even if there is no salary tds we has to file nil e-tds [24Q] return quarterly , then u will get ack no.

if that time u don't have TAN no that time u can issue pay slip that is better

i now that

but i recently joined this company and they did not file the etds return last year

what should i do right now

now you can file last years etds return
