Hey Vipul!
Once you file Form 15CA Part D, the payment should ideally be made within 7 days. If payment is not made and the Form 15CA Part D is neither used nor canceled after 7 days, here’s what you can do:
-
You cannot directly cancel Form 15CA Part D on the portal.
-
The usual advice is to wait for the expiry of the 7-day period. After that, the system will automatically invalidate the Form 15CA Part D.
-
If you still want to make the payment after expiry, you will have to file a fresh Form 15CA Part D.
-
In case you need to notify or clarify with the bank or tax authorities, you can explain the situation with a written communication.
If the portal still shows the form as active and blocking new filings, you can try to:
-
Contact the income tax e-filing helpdesk for assistance,
-
Or wait for the system to refresh (sometimes it takes a day or two post expiry).
Summary:
-
Payment not made + no cancellation → wait 7 days for automatic expiry
-
After expiry, file a fresh Form 15CA Part D for any future payment
