He can not get the old password however he may change his password.

For changing the password follow the steps as mentioned below.

Step 1. Click the link https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/register.do?screen=showforgotpwd

Step 2. The following screen shall be displayed

Your not e-filed earlier. Please enter details as per PAN card to reset your password.
First Name
Middle Name
Surname or name *
Date of Birth/ Incorporation /Formation*

Enter the verification code.This is to prevent spams and fake registrations.
Please enter the code
Code
If you are unable to reset your password .Please send login credential to efiling @ incometaxindia.gov.in Enter Pan Again

Step 3. Fill in the required info and change your password....

but sir dnt knw the secret question????and answer also????

sorry dear then you do not have any other option other asking your ca for that..

try calling to "0124-2438000" its number of aykar sampark kendra...

tell them that you have forgotten the security question and answer and search out how they can help you....

u do not need to answer the secret question

just enter last year's acknowledgment no. and it will do the needful. Its an error in site

How is bl**dy responsible for this kind of nonsense, for simple work we have to wait for 72 hr or more then that

So plz can anybody suggest me who is in charge of this system & their address, so that I can contact my lawyer and send them notice, asking them to solve this problem permanently

AND ENTRE YOUR PAN NO, THEN SITE REQUIRED YOU TO SELECT ONE OPTION EITHER TO SELECT SECRET QUESTION OR TO SELECT ACKNOWLEDGE NO OF PAST RETURNS . IF YOU KNOW THE QUESTION & ANSWER THEN CHOOSE 1ST OPTION OTHERWISE 2ND. AND RESET THE PASSWORD.

Mail for resetting forgotten password of e-filing from validates @ incometaxindia.gov.in sometimes comes in junk or spam, so make sure you check it.
