Dear All,

Our company existing unit is in Noida (U.P). We are going to setup a new unit in Tronica City (loni) , which is also in U.P. Now construction of unit is started. Production is to be started from April or May 2008. Now I want to know that what is procedure to be followed for Excise & Sales Tax Registration.

Whether we have to register in Excise today itself or after the production started.

Whether we have to register in Sales tax as a new unit otherwise we have to amend our old registration certificate by addition of unit.

Please help asap. and tell me procedure & documents required for it.

Hi Mr.Bansal, Before commencement of production you must registered with Central excise so that you don’t loose CENVAT credit on capital goods or Inputs and any other benefits from Govt. And sales tax there are not required any additional no with in a State you can simply write a letter to sales tax authorities “Intimation regarding opening of additional place of business ref our TIN No-_________”
