Whether the Fixed Asset Register required to be maintained as per section 209 of the companies act 1956 can be maintained in SAP or excel form.
Or is it necessary to maintain it manually.

Criteria as per the companies act is the maintenance of register. Hence It can be maintained in soft copy as well.
Can anyone tell me the different details to be incorporated in the register as per companies act 1956, or does anyone has a format of the same as per the companies act 1956.
You can keep either sofy copy or in excel or use some good package for fixed assets . Its really good. It will give you asset number and all you need.
