Team,

I was reading about 44ada and was unable to find all categories of professional who can use ITR 3 for AY 2018-19.

My question : should I use ITR 2 or ITR 3 to report income that I earned from fitness instructor profession, please note I work as free lancer and earnings are from this profession and interest from fixed deposits and saving account.

If its ITR 2 than do I need to use section under "Schedule OS"-->Income-->Others to report all the income ?

If its ITR 3 then I should use 44ada (professional) section to put total income under E3, and 50% of it under E4?

You can use ITR4, and declare the professional income u/s. 44ADA......... no need for ITR3 only.

Thanks, apperciate it! Do you think fitness instructor falls under the professional list provided by IT department? Is below assumption corrrect, I should use 44ada (professional) section to put total income under E3, and 50% of it under E4 in ITR 4?

Yes. If you are qualified professional, you can file ITR4 u/s. 44ADA........... as said in E13

Thanks for quick reply! That is the dilemma that fitness instructor comes under this professional list or not. I tried to search online and unable to find extended list online or IT department portal. Based on your experience could you suggest that fitness instructors are elgible to use ITR 4 ?
