Sir,

I am a professional who is gaining income u/s 194 j. When I try to fill ITR4  I am asked to fill the columns under financial particulars of business ( Sundry creditors, Inventories, Sundry debtors and cash in hand) . Is this a technical error ? The software will not allow to leave these columns empty As I don't own any business can I fill these with zero ?

Thanking you

Since you are professional there can no inventories so there you can show zero. But if there is any outstanding payment either receviable or payable need to be show in debtors or creditors else you can write zero. And Cash in Hand need to be shown compulsorily.

Yes... I agreed to Mr. Deep Shah.,

In ITR 4 Column no E11 to E25 is required fields from FY 2017-18 if we have details...

If don't have then we can leave it simply except E15, E19, E20 & E22. Bcoz, It's mandatory...

So, You will fill the columns as 0 if no balances. All other will be blank without any figures.

Thank you sir.. Can any amount be shown as cash in hand? Is there any upper or lower limit..? Once again thank you for your kind reply.

That's a Good Question... Dear Just will think out of law or Logically...

As per govt's (E11, E19, E20 & E22) mandatory fields are no way for 0.

Just will give some reply based on 31/03/2018

1. You / I don't have any single penny...?!!!

2. Our Bank balance is fallen on 0...?!!!

3. If we give some service / Supply on March. But, You receive all the Serviced payment on or before 31/03/2018...?!!!

heartheart For a Good question...yes

As Such there are no limit. It depends on Person to Person depending on cash income earned, withdrawal from Bank, Cash Expenses, etc.
