A person registered GST as a regular tax payer. Annual turnover of such person is within 50 lakhs.

Quick Summary
If your business turnover is under ₹2 crores, filing the GST annual return (GSTR-9) was optional for FY 2017-18 and 2018-19. While not mandatory, it's generally advisable to file it to ensure your data is accurate and to avoid potential future issues. If you choose not to file, the auto-populated data will be considered final.

If Turnover is upto Rs. 2 Crores then filing of annual return (GSTR-9) is optional for f.y. 2017-18 and 2018-19.

if annual return is not filled, then auto populated data shall be deemed as final data.

Hence although it is optional, it is recommended/advisable to file annual return.
GSTR 9 return is optional up-to 2cr.

No more problem if it's not filed by the above said dealers...
It is optional....

but better file this to block future consequences
