First of all many congratulations for this remarkable feat, while I definitely do not undermine the amount of efforts and hardwork you might have put in for achieving the rank, One of the points from your recent post is pretty irksome and I have few questions for you on the same;
- “Please correct them that numbers(marks) are not only of points..we need to write content of ICAI material”:
It is sad to hear these words from the top ranker of a professional course. In the video of Mr. Pankag Garg, he has clearly pointed out how the student has written the correct section numbers, legal provisions and even the conclusion properly just as provided in the ICAI suggested answers.
What more do you want? What exactly do you mean marks are not only for points but we should write content of ICAI material?
Aren’t the points the crux of the answer? Or do you mean we should reproduce the ICAI material word by word?
I hope you know that we are students of a professional body and not students of a primary school to mug up and reproduce everything as it is!
Once you pass out, your knowledge and your ability to apply the provisions is what matters, no one is going to award you for reproducing your law book word by word in front of your client.
When I read your words, I can’t help but wonder that how, the top ranker of a professional body, which plays a very important role in our economy thinks that reproducing ICAI content in the same manner is more important than the content of the answers itself!!
It is called as a professional course for a reason, out there we need to use our head and judgment to cruise through our career and what we require for the same is practical knowledge…. and not the ability to reproduce the study material.
You have said that the faculty has made a wrong/incorrect evaluation of the paper, and that ICAI content should be written. Can you please spare some time and tell us what exactly is the difference between the points that the student wrote and the ICAI content? Because… honestly it matches with the suggested answer and it still is not enough in your opinion. You could easily obtain the screenshots from Mr.Pankaj Garg’s video to prove your point. Can you please make a short video explaining your stand?
If at all you do have a point, students will benefit from it and if not we’ll all know the credibility of your claims!
