No its not mandatory. Only one return in a year to be file.......
it is mandatory after fcra amendment act 2015
Rule 13 of FCRA have been amended as follows:
(a) A person who has been granted a certificate of registration or prior permission shall place the audited financial statements of accounts on receipts and utilization of the foreign contribution, including income and expenditure statement, receipt and payment account and balance sheet for every financial year begening on the first day of April with in nine months of the closusre of the financial year on its offical website or on the website as specified by the Central Govt.
(b) A person receiving foreign contribution in a quarter of the financial year shall place details of foreign contribution received on its offical website or on the website as specified by the Central Govt within 15 days following the last of the quarter in which it has been received clearly indicate the details of donors, amount received and date of receipts.
