I had sold a property in October 2019 and got some LTCG out of this.
To save tax, I am interested in investing some bonds as per section 54EC.
I am aware that the last date for this kind of investment was extended to Jun 30th of 2020. However, I am also getting to hear that, the last date is now further extended up to 30th September od 2020.
I would like to know if 30th September extension is indeed the last date, so I still have a chance to invest. I am not finding any news article on this. I don't want to invest if further extension is not made.
I would appreciate if someone who knowledgeable in this community, can confirm the new extension date (sep 30th 2020) along with the source for the same.
