Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the Goods and Services Tax (GST) applicable when a registered Indian company invoices Australian clients for software services. It confirms that such exports are considered 'zero-rated supplies' under the IGST Act, meaning no GST is charged. The options available are either paying IGST and claiming a refund, or submitting a Letter of Undertaking to export without upfront IGST payment.
As per the IGST act export is treated as Zero (No GST) rated supply , you can export by two way 1) You have to pay IGST and then claim for refund or 2) You can submit Lett of Under taking , without payment of IGST .
