Sir, I am pensioner and incur about RS. 6000= per year on diabetic medicines. My query is whether I can get benefit of such expense from my income. If yes mention the section.

you are provided a STD deduction straightaway of 40000 for any medical expenses incurred
under 80D, you can claim medical expenses to an extent of rs. 50000 or actual expenses incurred whichever is less, subject to conditions
