Your father had missed the exit option. If due date for exit option is missed, it is not possible to get the money back.

I want to ask one question.

My grandfather had purchased some shares of a pharma company .The pharma comapny was recently acquired by another pharma compnay.

He passed away in 2010.

He had nominated his sons as the nominees for the shares.

At his address, the family members received notice for some meeting of the acquirer company in the name of the grandfather .(This shows that the shares are taken over by the acquirer company.)

Now , the two sons want to get these shares registered in their names .

For this they sent an email to the Investors Relations section of the acquirer company with all the details of the shares and the share certificate no .etc.(The physical share certificate is issued by the acquired company)

It has been more than 3 months ,but they have not received any reply.

Futher they want to sell the shares immediately.

What further course of action need to be taken.

Thanks .
