No there is not any compulsion in writhing your answers in order of question asked.

You can write any answer first.

All the Best.

yes, u can write the main questions in any order. however, the sub questions must be answered together.

tip: never start answering with Ques1 (Compulsory ques) unless ur absolutely confident of doing well. better u go with last ques (generally theory) if ur sure.

Agree with Ravi Teja. But I advice to attempt those questions first which are short and also with which you are comfortable.

I am a student appearing for IPCC november 2012 both groups.
As this is my first attempt , I, by mistake failed to tick mark the serial number of the questions answered on the cover page ,as per the new format ,of my first paper.
I wanted to inquire whether my inability to do so will amount to any negative marking or rejection of my paper. Also if possible , is there any procedure i should follow to correct the same.
is it a material mistake ?
@ Pranil: Yes, you need to tick mark the questions for which you have answered. But if you fail to do so, all your answers (included those for which you didn't tick) will still be valid and will be valued. Coz the same happened with me as well during my IPCE and I can say that, still all my answers were valued since the marks I got were more or less what I expected. So relax and chill! Gud luck!
Pranil.. it does not matter... not at all a material mistake... ONE OF MY FRNDS ALSO FORGOT TO MARK BUT NOTHING HAPPENED...IT'S OK

Pranil, don't worry, i also did the same mistake in my ipcc,
