if a dealer is carrying goods from his godown to his shop and the distance between godoqn and shop is less then 10km .Is eqay bill is necessary in this case

Dear Sir,
According to Rule 138 of CGST Rules, E-way bill should be generated when consignment values exceeds Rs.50,000 irrespective of kilometers (even if it is 1 kilometer also)
