Error with amount under section 10(5) given by employer under LTC cash voucher scheme 2021

Hi Ansh,

Tried this but inspite of being in the incognito mode, the data was pulled up again automatically and the same error occurs.

Any others who faced this problem and rectified it?

Hi My self facing same issue , Tried almost 20+ times with all mentioned combinations, Some one can please help me.

Finally it worked for me!!!!

I used the offline app… downloaded from the IT  efilling site.

This error did not show up.

Struggled for 3 days.... above options did not work. Lodged grievance on IT portal, but got no response. Even if error against  Section 10(5) was resolved, it gave new errors against 80DD & 80U on validation, even though I had not opted for these sections.

Even offline utility (excel version) was giving problems. First, it asked to fill data under Schedule AL, even though I had not selected it, and after choosing Schedule AL, and choosing "No" in "AL", it said that json file has been generated and saved, but there was no json file in the folder.

So, what worked for me ?

I deleted all breakup of salary in 17(1), then entered each breakup data one-by-one, using "Save" button after each entry, and using "Edit" option to add next breakup data.

It worked finally.

Can you elaborate steps what worked for you , I am struggling from last 4 days. 

a) Delete entries under 17(1). Leave other data (deductions u/s 10 & 16) as it is.
b) Log out, and re-log in. (May not be necessary)
c) Enter first data in 17(1) - Basic Salary. Click on "Save" button at the bottom.
d) Click "Edit" on top. Click "Add more details", enter second data in 17(1) - Dearness Allowance. Click on "Save" button at the bottom.
e) Repeat "d" above for rest of the allowances. Click "Save" after every entry, and add new entry after clicking "Edit".
f) Click "Confirm" after last "Save".

After this, I was able to validate my return without errors.

Getting this error continuously!

I kept facing the same issue repeatedly. Finally I downloaded the JSON file from the ONLINE MODE.

I uploaded the same JSON file through OFFLINE mode. It got verified immediately.

it never ever worked for me. Might have tried 100  times with all the methods mentioned here. tried with incognito mode- didn't work. tried with deleting, adding back etc.- didn't work. 

Finally what worked-

Someone mentioned a plan b in this thread . From the deduction under section 10, i selected others and mentioned that as LTA. So this way i was able to mention the LTA benefits. Though wont be able to get back 2/3 days wasted in finding the right solution but thought of sharing with others, in case this helps.

So facing same issue and in spite of all the suggestions, I could not fill it. in the end, I downloaded the JSON file and filled the income tax returns and then simply uploaded. the work was completed smoothly. I suggest you should stop wasting time and simply download the JSON file and file your income tax. It is as easy as filling it online..
