You have to enter previous paid challan CIN number also, which opening balance with you.

Dear Ramesh Sir,

thanks for your reply, as you write "enter pervious paid challan CIN Number also"  but at the time of filling Online ER1 there is no option available for enter two challan. please guide me how to put two challan details.

at the challan entry point, u can check the box and click on ADD, a 2nd row wil appear for next challan

Dear All,

Some more Issues generated during submition of ER-1, please resolve the problem:-

1.  The tariff notification number / serial number of the notification you have entered does not exist in the database!!

when I put notification no. 006/2012 C.E.  SR. NO. 30 for medical X-Ray films

2.  Figures of the opening balance in the current return and the closing balance in the previous filed return do not match.

when Opening balance is matched with perivious return.

please guide for above querry

Dear Lalit ji,

You leave that type of errors, they are application errors, these type errors will sort out while scrutiny your monthly retunrs of your Range Officer, he will ask you and check previous and present returns and put his remarks (answer) in that return.

Yes I agree with the above view, but as far as your first point is concerned it is always advisable to check the clause under which the point is mentioned. Say if, the chapter heading is mentioned in clause (a) of the said notification, then you need to select the clause from the drop down list and not the actual entry. For your second query if you are sure that the closing and opening figures are tallying then no need top be worried for the errors.

Dear All,

"Figures of the opening balance in the current return and the closing balance in the previous filed return do not match".

if the above message is coming while filing your return means , your previous month return is not yet reviewed by your Range Officer, once he reviewed and put his comments, this message will not apper in next month return.
