Working in the area of Internal audit gives you knowledge in so many areas. Dont loose the opportunity. I advise you to go for it, if your area of interest is audit. You will get expert knowledge in that field if you work at E&Y. You can in future consider of doing Certified Internal Auditor, which adds value to your resume.

But the exposure and the big clients like reliance, etc , is provided by just big 4's.........!!!!!!

I think Stat. Audit is better in the comparission of Internel Audit.

In small firm you will be learn more.

Internal audit is good with respect to the knowledge but to just some extent, after wards only stat. and tax audit will be the one leading the game. Since you got an opportunity in ENY better join them latter you can manage the deficiency of knowledge by meeting or keeping friendship with the people of other departements.

So whats your decesion ?

I feel good about the opportunity but the sailor before sailing the ship must decide to adjust with the tides. So internal audit will provide only foundation knowledge or basic knowledge to do the audit. Thereafter there is nothing more left. Further the matters which a person could came across in stat. and tax department will be far superior then in internal audit. Hence in my opinion if devansh has any friends or can make friends then join ENY, coz knowledge will be gained and sometimes it has to be contributed and that one will be possible only from friendz.

BETTER TO JOIN AS IT IS "ENY". A DREAM FOR FEW!!

thanx dude but wat i personally think is that its not only the charm of big 4 that one shud want to enjoi.......i have contacted all my frns who r workin in big 4s n they all have suggested me not to join internal audit ...or even big4s bcz no tym will b left for the studies ...n classes to u forget completely...
