My wife is un employed and house wife. she is having a PAN number. she is not paying any income tax. I want to buy ELSS tax saving mutual funds on her name and on her PAN number. Is there tax benfit for me?

There will be no benefit for u. Instead ur money will have a lock-in of 3yrs..
