According to the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 , and the latest amendments the stamp duty for a partnership deed is typically calculated based on the total amount of capital contributed by all partners, However, the specific stamp duty rate and the type of stamp paper required can vary depending on the state in which the partnership is registered.
In general, for a partnership deed, the stamp duty is usually a fixed amout or a percentage of the total capital contributed, whichever is higher.
