Eligilibity to write ca inter exams after 14 yrs

My utmost apologies for approaching you in this manner.  I would be obliged to have your guidance to the following query of mine. I have completed my B.Com in July 1993 from Mumbai University & had registered for the Intermediate Course under the Old Syllabus. I have cleared Group-1 of the Intermediate Examination in May 1996 & have completed my articleship training registered with the institute vide Regn. No. BB051379 on 31st July 1996.  But after that I have been working abroad in Saudi, Bahrain & presently in Ghana, West Africa which is the reason why I could not catch up with my professional studies. However I now realise the importance of the same. Therefore this request of mine to kindly guide me as to what further action I am supposed to take to complete my professional education. Further I have been informed that May 2009 happens to be the last attempt under the Professional Educatiion Examination but considering my present employment obligations I am unable to make it for this attempt. I would therefore like to know the implications of the same. What next am I supposed to do. Will I lose credit for my articleship training & also the exemption of having cleared Group-1 of the Intermediate Examination under the old syallabus.

I had done my C.A Inter in 1996 , am i eligible to complete my finals now and if yes  then to whom i should appraoch?

All of you are eligible for the respective exams; not sure what exactly the procedure is, but you guys just need to approach the nearest Branch office and enquire. I've seen many people making such inquiries, I don't think there are any complications invloved.

I did MBA Finance, I want to do CA. Am I eligible for IPCC? or I should write CPT .

I AM ALSO LIKE U . AFTER A GAP OF 10 YRS I REREGISTERED WITH THE ICAI BY PAYING A FEE . IF U CONTACT ICAI OR REGIONAL COUNCIL THEY WLL TELL U THE AMT OF DD AND "IN FAVOUR OF" ETC. U WILL BE ALLOTTED A NEW NO. AND U CAN PROCEED AS USUAL. MY HUMBLE SUGGESTION IS TAKE UP THE LATEST SYLLABUS SINCE THERE  R LOT OF NEW CHAPTERS AND R USEFUL. CONTACT THE BOARD OF STUDIES/ STUDENT SECTION NOS. GIVEN IN THE RELEVANT WEBSITES OF ICAI.

As I have mentioned in my earlier mail you can approach STUDENTS SECTION of your regional office where u got regtd., and mention ur old reg no and u will have to pay a fee for re-regn and if u have any further doubt can mail me.
