Eligibility to appear in May 2012 Integrated Professional Competence exam(IPCE)

The Council at its 312th meeting held from 25-27 December 2011 passed a Resolution under Regulation 205 to the effect that candidates who register for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and complete eight months
study course, as on the first day of the month in which examination is held would be eligible to appear in the IPCE to be held in May 2012 examination onwards.


Accordingly, candidates who registered for IPCC on or before 1st September 2011 are eligible to appear in IPCE to be held in May 2012.

Pursuant to the above-mentioned resolution, candidates are advised as follows:

 The words “Registered for IPCC/ATC on or before 16th August 2011”appearing in Column 6 (i) of the physical exam forms (OMR forms) of May 2012 IPCE, be read as “Registered for IPCC/ATC on or before 1st September 2011”.


 Paragraph 4(b) of the “Notes for Information and Guidance of applicants”
be read as follows:

“he produces a certificate to the effect that he has undergone a study
course, for a period of not less than eight months, as may be specified by
the Council, for the relevant level(s), as on the first day of the month in
which examination is held, in the manner as may be specified by the
Council from time to time”

 The words “Candidates registered for IPCC/ATC as on or before 16th August 2011” appearing in Category 1: be read as “Registered for IPCC/ATC on or before 1st September 2011”.

Students are advised to take note of the above announcement and apply
accordingly.

sir i cant understand this notification made by the institute....can you please help me? i registered for ipcc in jan 2011 but due to some reasons i didnt  sit for the exam on nov2011..i will sit in nov2012....so do i have to submit the declaration  certificate with exam form for nov2012 attempt? if yes will that be my self declaration statement stating that YES I HAVE COMPLETED 8 MONTHS OF SELF STUDY PERIOD? or will icai provide a form for writing such self declaration? or is it that i dont have to submit any declaration form??? i am very confused.....pls pls help me out.....this msg also goes out for every cci members....thanks in advance

 

In my view, you are eligible for May 2012 exams also. As said by divya, earlier it was 9-month study period which was now reduced to 8-month period. The word 'certificate to be produced', in my view, may not be required to be submitted in reality. Wait for others comments too.

Prithhis, Earlier Eligibility was 9 Months from date of registration. Now its reduced to 8 Months..!!
