Electronic Books of Accounts

Can I maintain my whole books of accounts (Journal, Cash Books, Vouchers etc) in Tally without printing them. For Income Tax or GST is there any compulsion on hard copies?

It is better maintain. a hard copy for safer side.
if the software data corrupted or computer hardisk fails then you might loose the data.

THE WHOLE ACCOUNTING CAN BE DONE ELECTRONICALLY BY A PERSON BUT HE SHOULD ENSURE THAT ALL DATA ENTERED PROCESSED AND GENERATED IS ACCURATE AND COMPLETE .

BUT IN MANY CASES DATA ENTERED IN ELECTRONIC BOA WITH HELP OF SOURCE DOCUMENTS SO IN THAT CASE ALWAYS PRESERVE SUCH INPUT SOURCE DOCUMENTS SO THAT IN ANY CASE IF ANY QUESTION IS ASKED BY ANY DEPARTMENT THEN YOU CAN JUSTIFY THE DATA OF ELECTRONIC BOA.

Electronically maintenance of Accounts is used for simplified the Accounts process only. It's not a supporting evidence of transactions...

So, Physical Copies of Original Documents will be needed. We can print out the Tally output of not. But, Ledgers related Invoices, Bills are required at the time of verification...

Advisable for "Better to keep Your documents in hand which is maintained in Software. Prepare Your Accounts in Tally (or any other Softwares) and keep supportive documents".
