Efiling with 2 Form 16

Hi,

While filing return online, when a person have two form 16 one from previous employer and other from current employer and in current employer previous employers income is not given then in this case while filing online return which details to fill like TAN etc?

Fill complete details of both the employees in the relavant column of the ITR as per Form 16.

u hv to fill details (like TAN, name of employer, address of employer, salary income, tax deducted ) of both form 16 of current as well as previous employer...

"Name of Employer" is mandatory field.

Details of TAN, Name of the Employer, etc should be provided only if the said employer Deducted Tax at Source. Other wise it is not provided in ITR.

Hello Nilesh

First of all compute tax liability on the basis of total income taken together from both employers and in most cases tax liability arises, if it so happens compute tax and deposit the same. Now while filling the return mention TAN, name, address, salary received and other details as asked in form and file return only when all details are submitted. Make sure only deduction u/s 80C is provided once and not seperately from both employers.

Am having the case of job change during Nov Month.

Also I have given details of previous salary to new employer, and new employer's form 16 shows adjusted calculation. Therefore new employer has shown 700000 (7 lakhs) in [11] Total Income column of form-16 and deducted 35000 only as TDS. Which is obviously less. My total Tax payable comes to 70000.

[1] So please tell what should I fill in SCH TDS1 section of ITR-1? Should i give details of both old and new employer or details of only new employer?

[2] Also, plz tell what should be the value in "Income Chargeable under head salary" of SCH TDS1? "Total Income" or "Income Chargeable under head salary" as shown in Form-16

Please anwser both question..

I have changed my job at the end of feb'2013, I have two form16 from previous and present employer. From my previous employer the tax has been deducted and from present employer the TDS is 0. How can I file my online ITR.
