If assessee receives advance against some payment in current financial year and TDS has been deducted on that payment, there will be a situation according to which refund will be due to assessee in current financial year and he has to pay tax in next financial year on same payment.
To avoid such a situation, department has provided a column for "unclaimed TDS brought forward(b/f)" in ITR form where TDS and income can be shown in the same year as per matching concept, even though it is deducted in some previous year.
now it is better to prepare XML format for claiming previous year TDS
online is not good for it personal experience
and the financial year which tds is cut out is mandatory to mention here
