E way bill Generation on Different states

Hi,

I want to ask,

If Company A is selling some goods to Company B, and both Companies are registered in the same State. For Example they are both registered in Punjab. But Company B wants delivery of goods in Delhi.

So while generating E way bill Company B asks Company A to generate E way bill using option "Bill to - Ship to" and enter delivery address of Delhi.

And E waybill website also allows us to do so.

Is this kind of eway bill generated correct?

Can any GST officer take objection during inspection?

What can be any other consequences for this type of transaction?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the correct procedure for generating E-way bills when a sale occurs between two companies registered in the same state (e.g., Punjab), but the goods are delivered to a different state (e.g., Delhi). The consensus is that using the 'Bill To - Ship To' option on the E-way bill portal is permissible and legally valid. This method allows the supplier to specify the actual delivery address in Delhi while the billing address remains in Punjab, and it is not expected to raise objections from GST officers during inspections.

Yes you can generate eway bill, bill to ship to modal and no consequences for this type of transcation
You can generate bill to ship to invoices . This type of e-way bill are legally valid.
