E sugam is mandatory in Karnataka for every sales/purchase/job work or even stock movements transactions regardless of which vehicle you are using.

E sugam can't be raised for past date. It can be raised only on current date of date of transacitons you can keep a future possible date.
It takes only 2 minutes to raise an e sugam so better you raise e sugam immeidately and move the vehcile only after getting e sugam to avoid any possible future problem with dept as well as at check post.

Hi,

Your Query is not clear.

1. If your company is registered under Karnataka VAT, then while supplying good to HAL for each and every invoice (above 25,000) you should login to Karnataka Commercial Tax website and get e-Sugam.

2. If your company is not registered in Karnataka (let's assume you company is there in TN), then before despatching goods to HAL, you should request HAL to raise e-Sugam and share a copy of e-sugam so that you can enter Karnataka Checkpost.

Note : e-Sugam can be generated for movement of goods, it can be Sale, Interstate purchase, transfer of goods from one godown to another, etc.,

We are into service where we lease our equipment to EPC companies. We have to move one of our machinery to Bangalore from Almatti, since we are not registered and also do not deal in sales/purchase, how we can get the E-sugam?

Any inputs would be highly appreciated.

Dear Raj Sharma,

As informed in my earlier comments, e-Sugam is used for movement of Goods,

In your case you are moving your own machinery from Almatti to Bangalore, I recommend you to generate e-Sugam for this movement. You may select Type of Transaction of Others. If possible you can specify somewhere in the e-Sugam specify "Not for Sale".

Dear Sir,

Honour to be a member of this club.

Me being new to the business, I need a clarification on e-Sugam form about whether the form needs to be mandatorily generated if the goods is for sale to end user and not for a reseller.

Thank you
