Yes, as per clarification from CBDT, e payment of taxes can be made from any online banking whether it is of the same assessee or not.  

you can visit www.mca.gov.in to view details of bank authorised to collect tax

nyway u can also pay taxes from others accout by juz providing ur PAN

Yes tax can be paid by anyone else account but you have to quote the correct PAN. you can also use credit/debit card of tohers also for these purpose.
