Dear All,

After LOGIN, a message is coming "Update". But, I have nothing to update. Previously "SKIP" option was available. Is it now withdrawn?. As a result, no further activity is possible. What is the remedy?

Simply click update..u will get pin in the mobile number & the e-mail id entered..enter the pin number & it will proceed

Its a Big Problem for Bulk Filers.They Have to Call Every Individuals and Some Assessess doesn't have Email IDs also.

You have to update in anyway. I have also faced the same problem.

If a practicing CA has more than 1000 Clients how it possible to update email address of all the clients. As possible mobile numbers of client may be entred but how it possible to take email address of each and every clients, It seems that IT Department does not want to e file . The department want to file paper return at thair jurisdiction.

agree with u mr. parmar... i am a pratcing tax advocate, I have entered mobile numbers of 14 clients and I managed to get in touch with just 9... other mobile numbers are either switched off, not in coverge area or number changed... this is a huge huge frustration for bulk filers... not only this, few don't have email IDs at all

The department does not want to e file.please submit paper return of small tax payers
Even itd does not know that the Advocates are also involve in tax laws practice and this is why CA can registered on IT portal and advocate can not.
I am a CS and bulk filers. I am also facing same problem.
You can login by using option 26AS from Home page.
Even after login from 26as update is required I t dept wants us to do more paper work it is difficult to enter mail add customers don't give password mobile no must be sufficient and not Mail add

some of the clients say that they have forgotten their email ID password, while some say that their son/grandson/brother have the email ID & they'll have to get in touch with him and I should explain them on phone what is to be done... some are smart enough to understand while others say that they'll visit office and do the needful... I'm still waiting for few for the past one week to come and open their precious email accounts.. till then I cannot file the return.. this is extremely annoying and frustrating especially for tax professionals...

I would like to thank you all.  There are samall tax payers who dont have e-mails. They do not have the Computers and/or Internet facility. Do IT Department want them to have those facilities?
