I am from Gujarat.
How can I apply for the duplicate VAT registration certificate when the original one is lost? I also want to change the name of business. So only application mentioning the same change of name along with request for issuance of duplicate certificate will suffice or I will have to apply for fresh registration???

In my opinion, first you have to apply for duplicate TIN certificate because u have to surrender it if u want to change the name of the firm with department. Then u can make application for amendment in name by making an application with department.
