Due date of service tax

It should be 26th November.

Since ST-3 Filing needs to do electronically, I don't think CBEC will extend one more day. 25th November will remain as Due date.

Order No. 3/2012, dated 15th October 2012, CBEC extended the date of submission of the return for April to June 2012 from October 25th to November 25th. Therefore due date is 25th November.

If the due date of filing the service tax return id holiday then return should be filed on the NEXT SUCCEDING WORKING DAY..In your case the answer would be 26.11.12

but in case of efilling of return there is no extention in case of holiday is given.

I just read today's newspaper and i found that there is a advertisement in today's paper regarding filing of Service Tax Return wherein it was clearly mentioned that last date is 25th November.

There is a continuos running ad specifying due date for April - June 2012 return.

It is today only..check on ACES portal.. It says " Today is the last day of filing " .

Remember the date of filing is mentioned is on or by 25th Nov'12. This new date is only for the Ist Quarter (April-june'12).The 2nd quarter filing date is not announed yet by the dept.
