Due Date for ST Return

Date of return filing st- 3 april-sept. before 25^th Oct.

Oct-March before 25^th april. 

Its till 25th of the next month following the quarter.

due dates are 25th of april and 25th oct every year.

The last date of filling S.T Retrun is 25th Oct for April -Sep and 25th April for Oct- March

and the Penalty for filling late return is Rs 500/-  if delayed by 15 days

Rs. 1000/- for delay of more than 15 days but less than 30 days

Rs. 1000/- + 100/- per day beyond 30 days till the date of return furnish

maximum penalty is Rs 2000

There is an additional grace period of 90 days from the due date. I have filed ST returns but now I need to file revised returns, which is after 90 days grace period. How much could be the penalty for the same? The helpdesk of ST says to meet Range officer of that jurisdiction.

NEXT PROVIDE RECTIFIED RETURN WITH ALL DETAILS WITHIN 90 DAYS OF FILING THE "NIL" RETURN.
