vouching, verification,tally, itr filing and other returns including tds, service tax are quiet common, u will be given the same in starting 2-3 mnths .
thereafter u may be asked to go on bank audit, credit audit, vat audit,statutory audit,stock audit,etc depending upon the volume of work ur principal has.
the most important part of articleship, acc to me is the work of Finance, preparing CMA data, net worth for, serach reports, preparation of other documents etc.
u will learn such sort of things during your training prd
Along with all the above aspects...you should also maintain your notes in your own handwriting ao that you can avail benefit of you practical experience at later stage

Initially they assign you vouching & verifications for 1month. There after assign you one by one like preparation of BS,P&L. With complete vouching all documents. Filing formd like 280,281 etc, then VAT filing & preparation behalf of client
