There is No limit on Giving donation but the Tax Deduction would be affected as follows:

In hands of Doner (Trust as mentioned by you):

Deduction would be allowed under section 80GGC for the donation made to political parties/electoral trust. BUT If anything is given in cash that would be Disallowed for 80GGC.

In hands of Political Parties/Electoral Trust:-

Any amount of donation received in Cash above 2000/- shall be Disallowed in their hands. But Upto 2000 cash donation can be accepted by them.
