EVA -- yes the same kind of question only with some changes in figures is in MPV book.

Brand Valuation - only theory is there..

then from where to prepare for such questions like that of Brand Valuation ? the same question was not there in module as well ?  

In CA final its not possible for you cover each and every thing . whatever the level of your coverage , you will get 5-10 marks as surprising element . So dont think about these questions . You may go for praveen sir or M.P. Vijay kumar but dont try to cover both.

Pls remember its CA-Final exam of  ICAI (2nd largest A/c body of world) .

They need to maintain their standard.

As Rightly said by CA Amith Lath expect some surprises not only  in exam but also in our results also.

Our exam standard are so much high that no 1 text bk on AS/other sub is sufficient for exam preparatiion nor we have time to refer 2/3 diffrent authors textbk on 1 sub. It is not posiible to cover whole sylaabus with all permutaion n combination of sums on same topic due to limitaion of time.

The only solution which i think is go thoroughly wit 1 bk n just refer other bks ( if time permits),Study material & other sources if ICAI as much possible quickly as n we do topics from main bk.

Hurray At our Classes C A Study House Mumbai Branch Chandrakant sir had covered 2 questions in Brand Valuation & also explained the concept of EVA

I am not gettin what is there in EVA . you check out June 2009 paper . A question was asked on EVA in accounts and the same question was earlier asked in MAFA 2-3 times.
