Do i need to apply for a new pan when i change city

You need to apply for the change in PAN details. In that, you will have to change your address.

If u already have a PAN no. den u only need to change ur address in records, for which u have to fill the form and submit it .. 

U can submit it online also...

Please find attached Form 49 A and submit it with proof of ur new address & copy of Pan card.. 

Permanent Account Number (PAN), as the name suggests, is a permanent number and does not change. Changing the address though, may change the Assessing Officer. Such changes must, therefore, be intimated to ITD so that the PAN database of ITD can be updated. One can intimate change in address by filling up the form for Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN data.

it is nothing like that...

they are user friendly... just a small form to be filled up

Moreso, you will not have to pay the fees etc..except the fees charged by the Income Tax Dept of Rs. 96…
