Hey friends,

Want to share something with u al and also need ur suggestions upon it. This is what i wan to share,.....

Looking at the today's scenario it is seen that, Chartereds are finding it difficult to find a good job even salary paid are not apt. Earlier semi qualified were also in good demand but now they are paid very less. Even after completing 3 years of articleship we are considered as fresher. But really don't understand until and unless we are not given an opportunity this fresher tag will always be carried with us. And this is the case especially with semi qualified CA's. Even i am facing this problem. I completed my acrticleship in May 2012 but then I prepared very well for Nov 2012 examination but unfortunately couldn't clear. then i went for GMCS so after Jan 2013 i started hunting for job. but till date am unemployed (in between, from Aug till oct 13 i got placed in a small size firm. But i left it after my Nov 13 exams as it was at grant road, which is very far from kalyan so was unable to give time for studies). CA freshers are recruited but i have seen that the knowledge is at par sometimes of semi qualified and a qualified CA but just the later have that degree so are recruited. Its true that we can show our talent during interviews and at actual working. But due to no post articleship experience i am hardly getting a call for an interview and if i get then those are small size firm. And now if i again go for an small size firm then again that experience won't be counted and medium size firm need experience and big 4 toh i can't even imagine. Over and above all this people are getting placed through references. But how if i do not have any such reference.

Our institute itself do not recognise us. And if the market is tight then how the 98% IITians are getting recruited and are also  paid pretty much good. few are also placed in Finance sectors dat too in good companies, so y not CA's???????. The IIT's have still maintained there standard but i really feels CA's have lost the charm now.......

There are people just with graduated degrees but are paid more than CA's this really makes me feel very low.

am desperately looking for a job now but really feeling very helpless, blank. This also distracts me from my studies and my attempts are getting dragged now b. So plz plz plz........ guide me friends how to overcome it. Much more to say but do not understand how to express it.

Supriya,

Profession:

Don't feel down. It happens in all professions. The Ups and Downs are part of lifecycle. Just few years back when the economy was booming, CAs and Inter-CAs were worshiped like GODs. At that time, ICAI had to make very very hard decisions on the exam & passing proceses to increase the number of CAs while maintaining good quality of the profession, so that industry has enough candidates to hire. Today the situation is different. But that does not mean it will not recover. (and also that it will not fall again.!). But those who are in this profession have time and again proved that its not the money/ salary that makes it. It's the Quality of service, resilience and persistence in approach. Those who have endeavored this, don't face any issue on money/ salary front.

Experience & Fresher:-

Experience of a CA for 2-3 years is more than 10-12 years of experience of Engineers from reputed institutes. Once you get exposure with Industry (through JOB or Practice), you will notice this yourself. wink. My only suggestion is don''t take things negatively. Even today, the positives overweighs the negatives. If I had been given an opportunity to change my profession, i would not.

Exams and Attempts:-

That being said for the profession, let's me reassure you that being a CA is the best thing. You not being able to pass the exams is part of a process. (Refer to this post). I am not saying that you should accept the failure, and get down with it. On the contrary, motivate yourself to do more in next attempt. Those who are passionate about this profession, will alway succeed. It's inevitable. Sucess is just a timing difference.

My best wishes for your next exam attempt. Be focused, and work hard.

Your reason for panic is not wrong.CA is now only a degree. Not at all a recognition of talent inside the the person who are having it.There are students who never seen office before they become CA.So somewhere quality of CA now a days is much much poor then what it was 3 years back.CA is no more a dream for hard working and smart individual.Certificates can give you money and some social respect, but cannot provide you real satisfaction. So just recognize your real talent without degrees.Fame, fortune ye sab CA me nahi h aaj ke din.
Agree with Ram ji.Future is uncertain.........

Thanks Ramkrishna ji,

I feel very encouraged after reading such messages and articles. But don't know when even after giving my 100% when i don't get the desired results all that inspiration goes in vain.

The consistency of keeping patience is not maintained by me. And all my time is wasted behind thinking about all such things and again i waste the attempt.

Anyways thanks for your guidance, and the post on feeling aimless is really inspiring case for me  :-)

I just hope for the best now.

Thanks Vikash ji,

But recognising talent without degree doesn't help na....... this is the real problem. just can hope everything goes good. and god keeps his grace also upon me :-)
