You required to new book which applicable for may -12 exam (covered AY 12-13). but if u use this old one book than you required to read institute publication  of amendmend in direct tax and indirect tax book which is very useful along this old book (AY 11-12). now sort time period for read a new book. so it is better for you read this old book along with latest amendmend book . For case study you refer institute case study book. because all exam case study question come olny that case study book. no other book required for case study. for amendmend applicable in 12-13 also cover in RTP so once refer RTp also. for amendmed you use T.N. mamoharan book in this A.Y. 12-13 amendmend are given seprate in one palce. so u read only that page.
