If a customer direct deposits in bank, then intimation by him in written is sufficient for vouching purpose or do we need to issue receipt.

intimation received from customer should be sufficient
It will be better to issue reciept to cross tally and also auditors querry wont come for it if rec is issued.
We can issue receipt & the information given by the client (if its in black & while ) can be attached as a supporting document for the amount received after confirming the BRS.
