you need to change email ID which you have given in ITR. Email ID should match with the Email ID which you have given at the time of getting Digital signature .

You will have to update the email id in the profile and not in the ITR. ITR and profile can have different ID bu not the digital signature & income tax india website.

Change your Email ID in the profile after you login using your PAN and password. Use the same ID as it is showing in your DSC. Income tax will immediately send you an email at both the addresses. If you are registering E Mudhra DSC or any other in soft mode, do not use .p12 extension these companies install. Get your internet explorer to convert it to the format income tax asks and then register. For USB token you will not have a problem. You can use the export utility in IE to do the necessary conversion.

Not only in case of first year return, but also in case of the returns filed for cubsequent years, the dsc which are issued before 01/08/2010 were also not accepted if registered for the first time on the system By : CA GIRIRAJ RATHORE
