Unable to get some value eligible for claim in old regime

I started filing ITR 2 online. I started answering questions and filling directly Salary Schedule. Then realized I need to choose Old regime, went to "General Information" Schedule selected it. Then I start adding values for Schedule VI-A , Part-B. All values filled, also some came prefilled, one of which is "80CCD(2) - Contribution to pension scheme of Central Government by the Employer". For this Employer NPS value came prefilled but "

What can I do for fixing this? is it some issue currently in ITR-2. As I understand in old regime, I can still claim 80CCD(2) amount for deduction.

Have you selected old tax regime in General Schedule?

Yes I have selected Old regime. I checked multiple times. Its Old regime only.

I start thinking this should be technical glitch. Can someone verify if they also see they cannot claim 80CCD(2) amount?

You need to select tab of '80CCD(2)' under 'Deductions' in Schedule General.

I managed to fill it finally. I actually avoided to look Salary schedule in detail. I just relied on pre-filled values but then I separated CCD(2) from Basic Salary amount and added it separately in "Salary as per section 17(1)". Then CCD(2) value under Schedule VI-A become eligible.

That's correct.

Good luck....

I am facing the same issue . Only difference is I am using New Tax regime. Can you please let me know if this is a known issue or how to fix it?

I have already split the salary into different components like Basic, HRA, 80CCD.

Thanks.
