Dscs are available at around Rs.1000 some of the vendors say that they can send the DSCs by mail to us
which can cost much lesser around 400. Can any one tell whether they have tried obtaining
in that method and whether it will solve the purpose.

Yes no doubt DSC in .pfx format can be sent to you by mail. This can servce the basic purpose of signing the e return and also any other document required to be signed. But the security of such a DSC would be very suspect as it would have travelled in public domain before it reaches u by mail. Therefore be very careful when u handle such DSC's . If some RA is giving you option to download the DSC from the RA website then it improves security a little bit. But the best security is offered by a DSC encrypted in a e-token.
