Digital signature by mail

Yes no doubt DSC in .pfx format can be sent to you by mail. This can servce the basic purpose of signing the e return and also any other document required to be signed. But the security of such a DSC would be very suspect as it would have travelled in public domain before it reaches u by mail. Therefore be very careful when u handle such DSC's . If some RA is giving you option to download the DSC from the RA website then it improves security a little bit. But the best security is offered by a DSC encrypted in a e-token.
