MY CLIENT IS HAVING BUSINESS OF TRADING OF GOLD ORNAMENTS AND ALSO JOBWORK OF THE SAME . CAN HE KEEP  DIFFERENT BILL BOOKS FOR TRADING AND JOBWORK????

in my opinion only one book need t o keep because As per rule 7 of invoice rules format shows Goods or services or both.

he can keep as there is no specific restriction in GST provisions but invoice numbers must be consecutive

It's not mandatory. He can use two or more serials...
But,, Single digits is handle easy for returns....
