13 August 2016as Stamp duty of 0.25% is payble to be fixed on share transfer form SH4, in what format that Rs.25 as stamp duty for market value of Rs.1000 of equity stocks is to be paid ? and How and where ?
either by way of Franking the document -SH4, or affixing Court fees stamps of Rs20/- + Rs.5/- or some other way ,
is it necessary to be sent to NSE / BSE or R & T agent of theat company

"Companies Act, 2013 requires that where share transfer form is delivered to the Board it should be duly stamped, with adequate value, and dated and cancelled as per section 12 of the Indian Stamp Act. The seller of the shares is responsible for the payment of the stamp duty. The seller must pay stamp duty at the rate of Rs 0.25 for every Rs 100 of share. Special adhesive stamps bearing the word “share transfer” shall be used for stamping for share transfers."
No need to send this Form to NSE/BSE...send it to the company only.

Thanks , but as I have not seen those , Special adhesive stamps bearing the word “share transfer” being used for stamping for share transfers." as I could not get at my Town, and I will appreciate , if IMAGE of those STAMPS for SHARE TRANSFER are either loaded at forum ,or emailed to dahaless @ gmail.com,whatspp 956139799

Thanks, From where in Mumbai / Pune , one can source these STAMPS with mention for SHARE TRANSFER , please provide address and contact details to source it , for Physical share transfer as NSE / BSE has allowed to sell equity shares upto 500 to a person for first and last time (NO FURTHER TRADING), subject to that buyer has a existing demat account and buyer has to compulsrily demat it ,
