we purchased tax free goods (fabric) from unregistered dealer ( i.e. local purchase) while filling annexure 2a (amended) what code should we apply for this purchase ?
PTF = purchase tax free goods (local)
PUR = purchase from unregistered dealer (local)
Dear sir,
in my view, you should write "Tax Free Goods" as it has wider scope than "Purchase from Unregistered dealers".

I Would Agree with CA Lovelyji....
I just prepared a VAT Audit report and noticed similar problem. However, if i chose to mention the details in unregistered segment, it would eventually attract tax payment and the other way being tax free attracts nothing, however i mentioned a note as well by adding a footmark to the table provided in the audit form.

What formalities do we need in case we purchase goods from importers or local seller who dont provide bills. How to show that ?
