I Will also suggest the same...............!!!!!!!!
One thing i wanna clear that at ipcc/ pcc level costing & fm is a new subject
So there is no point of saying that if your concepts are not clear go for classes.

For conceptual knowledge u should study at unrestricted research level. For this REfer N number of text books ,professors, more importantly internet and Frens....Now comes application part,
Take this for granted trust ICAI materials ie module,RTP, Suggested Answers ,do this thrice.there ll be no reason ull not get through.
This is from my experience ....Institute's publications ve high value in the eyes of the paper Setter.

NO, Cost FM is not tough at all, its just that you need to be patient and gradually u'll be getting concepts...
In my honest opinion there's no need of coaching required for Cost FM at IPCC level, all u need is a good book meant specially for self study, - look at PC Tulsian's book, it should help...
No doubt Ashish Kalra's books are good but they are not meant for self study, refer to them only afterwards.
And believe me, if u r smart enough then DONT take any coaching for practical subjects i.e. A/cs Cost FM. Practical subjects need only self study, the more you solve problems, u will start getting concepts. And dont think u will understand everything in first go... the more u revise, better will be your understanding.
